The obverse bears scene of Moses Cleveland with hand raised at gathering of priest and four Indians, ship in background; braided border. Around, FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE GREAT LAKES EXPOSITION; in exergue, 1836 - 1936.

The reverse bears Art Deco symbol of exposition with uninscribed scroll below. Around, GREAT LAKES EXPOSITION - CLEVELAND CENTENNIAL.

The edge is unmarked.

This is a nice example of an Art Deco medal for one of the expositions that were so popular in the first half of the 20th Century.

The medal measures 56.6mm (2.25") and was struck in silver-plated bronze.
