Dolphin Jute Mills 85th Anniversary1936

The obverse bears two dolphins on left and right, surrounded by wave pattern, shell where heads meet at bottom center. In center field, TO / COMMEMORATE / THE EIGHTY FIFTH / ANNIVERSARY OF THE / DOLPHIN / JUTE MILLS / PATERSON / NEW JERSEY / 1851 - 1936.

The reverse bears image of large facility dated 1936 with original, more modest one, dated 1851, above. Below, DOLPHIN JUTE MILLS / PATERSON, NEW JERSEY.

The edge is marked WHITEHEAD HOAG.

The Dolphin Jute Company converted hemp and jute into twine, rope, and carpet backing. By 1881, the firm was the largest jute factory in the U.S. The firm eventually went out of business in the late 1950s.

This medal measures 76mm (3in) in diameter and was struck in bronze by the Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. I don't know the medal's designer and would appreciate any information you might have.
